Sanford Jenkins is a writer and filmmaker from Germantown, Philadelphia. He is a graduate of Morehouse College and USC Cinema, with moments in New York’s financial and film industries.
Sanford’s filmwork has screened at Blackstar, Camerimage, and Palm Springs film festivals, and has been supported by American Cinematheque, Bureau of Creative Works, Directors Guild of America, Issa Rae Presents, NoBudge, and Vimeo, among others. His writing has been published by New Life Quarterly (E.M. Wolfman), Indieplex and Violet Summer Zine.
Sanford is a recipient of a 2017 DGA Student Film Award, a 2018 Small But Mighty Arts micro-grant, and is a member of CASSIUS’ inaugural Creative Class. He is currently a 2019 mentee in the Half Initiative Television Directing Program, and a Fall 2019 SFFILM Westridge Screenwriting Grant finalist for the narrative feature Joy and Pain.
